Green & Other Fees

1.     Entrance Fee. It will be paid on acceptance of the proposal form for membership. Non-nationals may pay the entrance fee in US$ or in equivalent local currency.
2.     Subscription.

            a.     Bill.      Club bill will be available at the club office for collection by members from 1st to 5th of every month. On 6th it will be forwarded to members’ present postal address.

            b.     Payment of Monthly Bill.       All bills are to be paid through bank draft or crossed cheque to JLGCC by 15th of next month.

            c.     Fines for Late Payment.

                    (1)    1st month or part       –           10% of the bill.

                    (2)    2nd month or part      –           10% + 10%.

                    (3)    3rd month or part       –           10% + 10% + 10%.

            d.    Absentee Fees.           Absentee members after getting approval from club authority will required to pay absentee fees at the rate of Tk 50/- as monthly subscription. It may be reviewed by the Executive Committee from time to time.

            e.    Green Fee and Caddy/Ball Boy’s Fees.          These will be paid on daily basis. Golfers will be required to enter their names in the register available with the caddy master and make necessary payment of different fees.

            f.     Payment of Foreign National .           May be paid either in US$ or in local currency.

3.     Bill Collection Procedure.

            a.   Club bills are payable on presentation.

            b.    If not paid, a written reminder shall be sent to the concerned member at his/her registered address.

            c.    If payment is not so made, a further demand shall be sent by registered post fixing a time line for the payment of all dues.

            d.    In the event of non-payment within the time fixed by the further demand, the name of the defaulter shall be posted on one of the notice boards of the club.

            e.    No member shall be entitled, after his/her name has been so posted, to exercise any of the privilege of the club until the amount due by him/her in respect of which his/her name has been posted, has been paid, within three months of such posting all sums due are not paid, the Executive Committee shall remove his/her name from the list of members and shall notify him/her by registered post that he/she has been ceased to be a member of the Club.

            f.    The Executive Committee shall have the power to reinstate a defaulter at any time upon terms as they may see fit.

4.     Suspension/Termination of Membership for Non-payment.

            a.    Suspension of Membership. If any member fails to clear his/her dues by the end of the 3rd calendar month after the expiry of the last date of payment, his/her memberships will automatically stand suspended. He/she will not be allowed to play or use club facility till all bills are cleared.

            b.    Termination of Membership. If a member does not clear his/her bills by the end of the 4th calendar month after the expiry of the last date of payment, his/her membership will be terminated. After termination of membership an individual may apply to become a member of the club after clearing the dues.

5.     Exemption of Monthly Subscription for Absence. A member for his/her absence for a period of over three calendar months will be exempted from subscription for that period, provided prior application is furnished to the club office in writing.
6.     Subscription Terms and Rules

            a.    Terms.

                    (1)        Resident Members.    Serving Officer Members who reside within the boundary of Sylhet area.

                    (2)        Out Station Members.  Members who live outside Sylhet area.

                    (3)        Absentee Members.       Members who have notified the club in writing of their intention of being absent from club. In case of a service member who has been posted out from this station, will not become an automatic absentee member. It must be notified in writing to club along with the information of posting. Otherwise, Membership will be closed after the specified period.

            b.    Rules.

                    (1)        Resident members shall pay a monthly subscription at such rate as the Executive Committee may from time to time determine the permanent, temporary and service officer members.

                    (2)        Out station members shall pay a monthly subscription at such rate to be decided by the Executive Committee payable within one month from the date of his/her return or immediately upon his/her name being placed on the list of Absentee Members.

                    (3)        Serving absentee members shall pay Tk 50/- per month as monthly subscription or as decided by the Executive Committee. One year subscription may be taken in advance in case of any absentee membership. A civil absentee member shall pay Tk 50/- per month or as decided by the Executive Committee.

                    (4)        A member whose monthly subscription is not paid within six months after the same become payable, shall be at the expiry of that period ceased to be member of the club and his/her name shall be removed from the list of members accordingly. The Executive Committee may, if the default is sufficiently explained and the arrears are paid, restore the membership of such member at any time within one year from such date of default.
